HIGHER SECURITY STANDARDS

Beginning in June 30 2018, we will disable support for the older TLS 1.0 encryption protocol. Your browser (and/or device) must support TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 in order to connect, login, and take courses after June 30 2018.

All websites that transmit or processes credit card data will be dropping support for TLS 1.0 in 2018. The industry is moving away from TLS 1.0 because it is considered insecure.

HOW DO I CORRECT THIS?

All major browsers in their most recent version have TLS 1.1 or higher enabled by default. If you cannot use a more recent browser, then you may be able to update the settings in your current browser to enable a more secure connection.

MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER

Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, and 10 are not compatible by default but can be configured to use the more secure TLS versions. Update your IE settings to

  • enable(check) TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2
  • disable(uncheck) SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0

as shown in the red box below:

IE-TLS

Windows Vista and older operating systems, such as Windows XP, are not compatible with TLS 1.1 or higher encryption, regardless of the browser being used. Browsers on these operating systems will no longer be supported.
